A recent Screen Education professional development workshop at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring was featured in an article in the Montgomery County Gazette. One teacher commented that it was "the most sensible, logical and challenging teacher in-service ever. Best, it was appropriate to all levels and content." Teachers gained hands-on experience in telling a story with the camera, communicating ideas graphically through storyboarding, and providing appropriate criteria based critique. Teachers explored how the process is tied to academic standards, and how they could incorporate Screen Education into their classroom practice.
